This is a reflection of an assignment I completed in module 7 of 21st Century Educational Leadership. The assignment was to design a Learning Resource Center with all the bells and whistles no matter the cost. This was fun to do because these are all of the furniture and equipment I would like to have in my classroom. There is a lot to be said with how students learn and their ability to have movement while they are learning. Also, the push to have maker spaces for students to design, build, and create is key too. Within the design there are places for students to work independently as well as be collaborative with their classmates. I enjoyed finding the equipment.
The challenges to this activity is that it is just an ideal layout. I truly cannot comprehend as to why the furniture is so expensive. It makes me wonder if businesses are out to make a profit or if the materials are that expensive.
